CAMBRIDGE, ON – The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) Is proud to announce that Joe Park has won the OHF Officiating Award for 2024-2025 season.
Joe has devoted his life both to the sport of hockey and to the well-being of his community and is a deserving candidate for this recognition.
Joe began his officiating career with the OMHA in 1985. Over the years, he advanced from his early role as a linesman to attaining his Level 6 certification in 2005, subsequently becoming a highly respected OMHA Supervisor in Barrie. His officiating career has brought him to the highest levels of competition, including numerous playoff assignments and Team Canada events, where his composed demeanor and unwavering commitment to fairness have proven invaluable.
Now marking 35 years of dedicated service with the OHA, Joe continues to give back to the game he has long cherished. In addition to his own achievements on the ice, he has mentored, coached, and supported countless officials, shaping the next generation through his leadership, patience, and steadfast pursuit of excellence.
Joe’s dedication extends well beyond the rink. As a Toronto Police Constable, he has worked tirelessly within Neighborhood Community Offices—particularly in the Jane and Finch community—to help guide young people toward positive opportunities. His dual commitment to hockey and public service exemplifies his character: selfless, dependable, and motivated by a genuine determination to improve the lives of others.
