Colby Guy – From Final Four to Illinois, A True Sports Star

Colby Guy is playing for the Stayner Siskins in the final 4 of the PJHL and then heading to Rend Lake College in Ina Illinois to play baseball this fall.

Colby played hockey in his hometown of Barrie. He played AAA until Minor Bantam and then AA in Major Bantam and then AAA for his Minor Midget year. Colby says he played with a lot of talented kids and had some great coaches along the way.

His baseball career has taken him all over Canada and the US.

He started when he was 12 years old playing Tier 2 A for the Barrie Red Sox. In the following years, he played AAA for the Barrie Red Sox and the Barrie Baycats.On his U13 Team, he was picked to play for Ontario at the Canadian National Championships. On his U15 TEAM, he was picked for an all-star team YSBA to play in the Ontario Summer Games.

As a U18 player, he was picked to play for Team Canada EBLO at the World Championships in West Palm Beach, Florida. Colby is currently playing for the 18U titans baseball club.

His goals are to be a very successful Baseball player on and off the field and compete with other talented athletes.

Colby likes hanging out at the beach with friends. One of his favourite quotes is from Rob Perry- “You’re not as good as you think you are.”

Colby credits his family with a lot of his success over the years. His mom Karen His dad Maurice and his brother Austin have been his biggest supporter over the years and as long as I keep doing what I, M doing he knows he will make them proud.

Obviously, Colby is a name we should follow on his baseball journey. A fantastic story about a really good hockey player from the PJHL.
