It was announced earlier this week that former Mooretown Flags forward, Max Steeves, has committed to the University of Toledo Rockets hockey program for the start of the 2021-2022 American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division I season.
The Sarnia, Ontario product previously spent time in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with the Orangeville Flyers (2017-18) and Brampton Admirals (2018-2019). During his stint with the Flyers, Steeves would amass 16 points (9G 7A) in 49 regular season games-played and featured in four playoff games to round out the year. Moving over to the Admirals, Steeves contributed 20 points (7G 13A) in 50 regular season games-played. He also provided 3 points (1G 2A) during the 2019 OJHL Playoffs for Brampton.
A move to the Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) came during the 2019-2020 season as Max would sign with the Mooretown Flags of the Western Conference Stobbs Division. In 38 games-played, the veteran forward would add 65 points for the Flags (23G 42A) and contribute 15 points (6G 9A) in Mooretown’s post-season cause.
