Gourgouvelis, Vale named Player of the Month for the East Conference

The PJHL are pleased to announce that Will Gourgouvelis of the Clarington Eagles and Logan Vale of the Napanee Raiders have been named the Player of the Month for the East Conference for the month of January!

Orr Division – Will Gourgouvelis turned up his scoring offence in January and was second in the entire PJHL in scoring that span, amassing six goals and 18 assists for 24 points as a defenceman. Two of his goals were game winning goals, but has scored a majority of his points at even strength. The defenceman is part of a strong Clarington Eagles defence unit that has only allowed 10 goals against in the month of January. Gourgouvelis is currently second on his team in scoring with 68 points, and leads all defencemen in the PJHL. He’s also third in assists with 52, trailing only forwards Jordan Fuller and Jaeden French.

Tod Division – Logan Vale backstopped the Napanee Raiders on route to first place in the Tod division in the month of January. Within the month, Vale carried a 7-0 record, with a 1.14 GAA and 0.954 SV%, all while picking up two shutouts in that span. He led the league in wins throughout the month. His streak continues in February, as he picked up another shutout against the Trent Hills Thunder on February 7th, meaning he has not lost in 2025. Vale currently carries 19 wins on the season, with a 2.38 GAA and a 0.914 SV%. In fact, Vale has not let in more than three goals in a contest since January 3rd. The Trenton Ontario native will be a big factor in Napanee’s remaining schedule.

Congratulations to both players on the achievement!
