The PJHL are pleased to announce that Trevor LaRue of the Lakeshore Canadiens and Donovan Appleford of the Aylmer Spitfires have been named the Players Of The Month for the West Conference.
Stobbs Division – Fresh off a Schamlz Cup championship, Trevor LaRue has kicked off the season very strong. LaRue currently sits third in the league in scoring, picking up 14 goals and 26 assists for 40 points. LaRue had at least one point in seven out of the eight games in October, having seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points in that span. LaRue’s play has helped the Lakeshore Canadiens carry a perfect record in the month of October, now tied with the Essex 73’s in the standings.
Yeck Division – Donovan Appleford has found a strong scoring groove in his first season with Aylmer Spitfires. Appleford currently sits tied for second in goals scored in the league with 21, and is currently riding a seven-game goal streak. In his six games in October, Appleford had 10 goals three assists for the 13 points. Within that span, Appleford had atleast two goals in the final four games of the month. The Aylmer native looks to continue his scoring ways throughout the season.
