The PJHL are pleased to announce that Boe Piroski of the Lakeshore Canadiens and Will Richardson of the Port Stanley Sailors have been named the Player Of The Month for the West Conference for the month of December.
Stobbs Division – Boe Piroski was perfect in the month of December, winning all four games he’s started in. In that four-game span, Piroski had a 1.00 GAA average, and a 0.956 SV% along with two shutouts. Piroski has been stellar again in his second PJHL season, only losing three out of his 20 appearances so far. For the 2024-25 season, Piroski carries a 2.59 GAA and a 0.913 SV%, and is currently on a seven game win streak. Piroski and the Lakeshore Canadiens will look to compete for another Schmalz Cup championship this coming spring.
Yeck Division – Will Richardson had a strong run in the month of December, holding teams to one goal or less in three out of his four appearances. In those three games, Richardson carried a 0.67 GAA and a 0.984 SV%, leading the way for the Port Stanley Sailors.
From the Port Stanley Sailors, “This past month Richardson notched some notable wins in December such as a 4-1 win over Thamesford saving 35/36 shots on goal, 38 saves against Mt. Brydges, 46/47 shots against Spitfires. Throughout the first half of the season Richardson sits with 11W- 5L-3 SO. With a GAA of 2.75% and SV of 0.923%. Will has been an instrumental piece of the puzzle this year. He’s a great teammate who is well respected in the room and always gives the boys a chance to win.”
Congratulations to both players on the achievement!
