CAMBRIDGE, ON – As the PJHL calendar moves deeper into January, another busy weekend of action has led to continued movement throughout this week’s Power Rankings. With teams settling back into full schedules following All-Star festivities, strong performances at key moments have reshaped the standings, while the margin for error continues to shrink across the league.
The Essex 73s remain firmly entrenched at the top of the rankings, continuing to set the standard league-wide with their consistency and depth. The biggest move near the top comes from the Hanover Barons, who climb into second after a strong stretch of play, while the Dundas Blues slide to third as the race among the league’s elite tightens. Close behind, the Lakeshore Canadiens hold steady in fourth, keeping pace in a competitive top tier.
In the middle of the rankings, the Lakefield Chiefs and Uxbridge Bruins both make upward moves, capitalizing on recent results to gain ground as the playoff picture begins to take shape. Meanwhile, the Woodstock Navy Vets slide back slightly as parity continues to define the league’s middle group.
Rounding out the Top 10, the Grimsby Peach Kings and Georgina Ice both push upward, while the Petrolia Flyers crack the Power Rankings for the first time this season, making their debut at No. 10 following a strong run of play.
With the second half of the season officially underway, momentum is becoming increasingly important as teams jockey for position heading toward the playoff push.
