PJHL Power Rankings – January 21, 2026

CAMBRIDGE, ON – The PJHL Power Rankings saw notable shakeups this week as strong performances and timely wins continued to reshape the league landscape. With the intensity ramping up across all divisions, teams are beginning to separate themselves while others look to regain momentum heading into the heart of the season.

Holding steady at the top, the Essex 73s once again claim the No. 1 spot, continuing to prove why they remain in the league’s most consistent group. The Hanover Barons stay close behind in second, maintaining their place among the league’s top tier with another solid week and extending their win streak to 10 games. The biggest riser comes from the Lakefield Chiefs, who surge into third after an impressive run that has turned heads across the league. Sliding just one spot to fourth are the Dundas Blues, who remain in a formidable presence despite the minor drop.

Further down the list, the Woodstock Navy Vets move up to fifth, finding their stride as they push toward the upper half of the rankings. Right behind them, the Georgina Ice make a significant jump to sixth, after a 2-1 over Uxbridge. Thus, meaning, the Uxbridge Bruins slide to seventh but remain very much in the conversation as divisional battles continue to tighten.

Rounding out the rankings, the Grimsby Peach Kings hold the eighth spot, while the Lakeshore Canadiens see the largest movement of the week, dropping to ninth following a difficult 3-2 loss to Wheatley. Cracking the Power Rankings for the second time this season are the Alliston Hornets, who debut at No. 10 after earning their place with consistent recent results.

As teams continue to push for playoff positioning, the margins grow slimmer, and the importance of every game increases.
