CAMBRIDGE, ON – As the PJHL calendar flips into the New Year, a full weekend of action has brought noticeable movement across this week’s Power Rankings. Several teams took advantage of the increased slate, making significant climbs, while others saw themselves slide as the race tightens entering January.
The Essex 73’s remain firmly planted at the top, continuing to set the pace across the league. Behind them, the Dundas Blues surge into second, while the Hanover Barons slip to third as the margin among the league’s elite narrows. One of the biggest movers of the week comes from Lakeshore, climbing four spots into fourth after a strong stretch of play.
Further down the rankings, Lakefield makes an upward push, while the Grimsby Peach Kings crack the Top 10 for the first time this season and Alliston is back within the Top 10. Meanwhile, tight competition in the middle of the pack has resulted in slight drops for Uxbridge, Woodstock, and Georgina as parity continues to define the league.
With teams now back to full schedules and momentum beginning to build, the coming weeks promise even more movement as clubs jockey for position heading toward the playoff push.
