Cambridge, ON – The PJHL are pleased to announce that Evan Storie of the Grimsby Peach Kings and Joel Storoschuk of the Norwich Merchants have been named the Player Of The Month for the South Conference for the month of November.
Bloomfield Division – Evan Storie brings a steady presence to the Grimsby Peach Kings blue line, a team that had a strong 5-2-1-0 record in the month of November. In an eight game span, the Winona native put up a goal and six assists for seven points in a highly competitive division. Evan Storie has five and 14 assists for 19 points, good for a shared 10th in scoring by a defenceman. Storie is currently well on pace to match last year’s career highs, and is 11th in points per game by a defenceman. The Peach Kings currently sit fourth in the Bloomfield division, however have played the least amount of games in the entire league, so look for Storie and his team to make a push in the month of December.
Doherty Division – Joel Storoschuk is part of a strong Norwich Merchants team, currently leading the Doherty division. Storoschuk picked up seven goals and five assists for 12 points through ten games in the month of November. With 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points, Joel sits third in scoring on the Norwich Merchants, and sits tied in scoring with other high scoring players such as Caleb Musselman, Gunner Kirk, and Carter Dembinski. Joel also has 11 power play points, seven of those being goals. In 23 games, Storoschuk has already tied his goal total from last season, and only seven away from matching his career high.
Congratulations to both players on the achievement!
