CAMBRIDGE, ON – Coming off the Christmas break, we hope all PJHL fans enjoyed a safe and happy holiday with family and friends. While this past weekend featured a lighter slate of games than usual, it still delivered no shortage of standout performances across the league, as players made the most of every opportunity on the ice.
Alessandro Petreccia (Georgina Ice) – 1 goal, 3 assists
In a dominant 9–1 victory over the Schomberg Cougars, Georgina Ice defenceman Alessandro Petreccia delivered a standout performance, recording one goal and three assists. The Ice jumped out to an early lead by scoring nine unanswered goals, with Petreccia playing a key role by setting up three primary assists. He capped off his night with a goal late in the second period to round out an impressive four-point outing.
Dylan Watson (Port Stanley Sailors) – 1 goal, 4 assists
Trent Clinton (Port Stanley Sailors) – 2 goals, 1 assist
The Port Stanley Sailors erupted for eight goals thanks in large part to complimentary performances from captain Dylan Watson and Trent Clinton. Watson posted a five-point night, including one goal and two assists in the final frame, as the Sailors mounted a third-period rally to defeat the Aylmer Spitfires. Clinton provided the finishing touch in the final period, recording all three of his points—including a shorthanded goal—as his timely scoring proved pivotal in the comeback victory.
Logan Burnham (Mount Forest Patriots) – 3 assists
Logan Burnham played the role of facilitator in Mount Forest’s 3–2 win over the Walkerton Capitals, assisting on all three Patriots goals. All three helpers were primary assists, with two coming on the power play, highlighting Burnham’s impact on special teams and throughout the game.
Dylan Leslie (Port Perry Lumberjacks) – 4 goals
Dylan Leslie delivered the most explosive performance of the weekend, scoring four goals in Port Perry’s 7–2 victory. Leslie opened the scoring early, added another in the second period, and finished the night with two more goals in the third. The outburst marked Leslie’s third multi-goal game of the season and boosted his goal total to 15.
Owen Srigley (Innisfil Spartans) – 3 goals
Owen Srigley recorded the best performance of his PJHL career, notching a hat trick in Innisfil’s 5–3 upset win over the Orillia Terriers. Srigley doubled his season goal total in one game, scoring twice within the opening 10 minutes before sealing his hat trick with an empty-net goal late in regulation.
Luke Rockbrune (Innisfil Spartans) – 53 saves on 56 shots
In the same matchup, goaltender Luke Rockbrune was outstanding between the pipes, stopping 53 of 56 shots in a gutsy performance. Despite being heavily outshot 56–22, Rockbrune turned aside every attempt in the third period, anchoring Innisfil’s upset victory with a clutch showing.
