CAMBRIDGE, ON – Another thrilling weekend of PJHL Playoff action delivered high-scoring affairs, overtime heroics, clutch goaltending, and several series-deciding performances. With multiple teams punching their tickets to the second round, here are this week’s Top Weekend Performances from across the league.

Kyle Butt (Uxbridge Bruins) 1 goal, 3 assists, Ryan Sheir (Uxbridge Bruins) 4 assists, Trent Nobes (Uxbridge Bruins) 2 goals, 2 assists, Josh Hall (Uxbridge Bruins) 3 goals, 1 assist, Jordan Bonner (Uxbridge Bruins) 1 goal, 3 assists

In the most impressive offensive showcase of the playoffs, the Uxbridge Bruins erupted for 18 goals to seal their first-round victory, highlighted by standout performances throughout the lineup. Kyle Butt led the charge with a goal and three assists, continuing his strong offensive production in the opening round. Trent Nobes added a four-point effort of his own, scoring twice in the first period before contributing two assists. Josh Hall delivered the biggest scoring punch, recording the weekend’s lone hat trick to bring his playoff goal total to six. From the back end, Jordan Bonner added a goal and three assists, continuing his impressive postseason production from the blue line. Meanwhile, Ryan Sheir quietly contributed four assists in the offensive outburst, showcasing the Bruins’ depth in their decisive victory.

Carter Wilson (Penetang Kings) 3 goals

The Penetang Kings earned a crucial 5–2 win over the Midland Flyers in a tightly contested series. Trailing 2–1 early in the third period, the Kings responded with four unanswered goals to secure the victory. Carter Wilson was the difference-maker, scoring all three of his goals in the final 10 minutes to complete the hat trick and power the Kings to a dramatic comeback win.

Jake Kruiderink (Hanover Barons) 3 goals, Alex McGillivray (Hanover Barons) 2 goals, 1 assist

Game 4 between the Hanover Barons and Wingham will go down as one of the most memorable contests of the postseason, lasting five overtimes before Hanover secured a 6–5 victory to clinch the series. Jake Kruiderink provided key offense in regulation, scoring twice in the third period — including a shorthanded game-tying goal. After nearly five hours of hockey, Alex McGillivray played hero, netting his second goal of the game in the fifth overtime to seal the Barons’ first-round triumph.

Noah Cameron (Mt. Brydges Bulldogs) 1 goal, 3 assists, Logan Gianelli (Mt. Brydges Bulldogs) 4 assists, JJ Fogarty (Mt. Brydges Bulldogs) 2 goals, 2 assists

The Mt. Brydges Bulldogs bounced back from a Game 3 loss with a commanding 8–2 victory, fueled by several standout efforts. Noah Cameron recorded a goal and three assists, raising his playoff total to 10 points. Logan Gianelli collected four assists — three of them primary helpers — to register his first points of the postseason. JJ Fogarty continued his strong playoff run with two goals and two assists, marking his third multi-point performance of the playoffs.

Will Richardson (Port Stanley Sailors) 38 save SO

In a pivotal game for the Port Stanley Sailors, Will Richardson delivered the weekend’s top goaltending performance with a 38-save shutout in a 3–0 victory. A steady presence all season and throughout his four-year tenure with the Sailors, Richardson may have delivered his strongest outing yet at the most important time.

Hunter McGilvery (Glanbrook Rangers) 2 goals, 3 assists, Braden Carruthers (Glanbrook Rangers) 1 goal, 3 assists

Facing a critical Game 5, the Glanbrook Rangers leaned on their offensive leaders to secure the win. Hunter McGilvery, the PJHL’s playoff scoring leader, added two goals and three assists to bring his postseason total to 17 points in just six games. Braden Carruthers also contributed four points (one goal, three assists), including the game-winning goal late in the third period.

Samuel Rudner (Port Dover Sailors) 45/46 saves

In one of the most entertaining series of the playoffs between the Grimsby Peach Kings and the Port Dover Sailors, Game 5 featured a remarkable goaltending performance from Samuel Rudner. Rudner turned aside 45 of 46 shots, keeping Port Dover alive in the series with a standout effort under pressure.
