Top Weekend Performances – February 6-8, 2026

CAMBRIDGE, ON – With just one weekend remaining in the PJHL regular season, teams across the league are jockeying for playoff positioning, and the urgency showed on the ice. From explosive offensive performances to goaltenders stealing games, this past weekend delivered standout efforts up and down the league.

Aidan Russell (Streetsville Derbys) – 3 Goals
Braedon Mitchell (Streetsville Derbys) – 5 Assists

The Streetsville Derbys’ star forward tandem came out firing in a 9–4 victory over the Niagara RiverHawks. Aidan Russell and Braedon Mitchell—both ranked in the PJHL’s top ten in scoring—continued their strong seasons, with Russell recording a hat trick and Mitchell adding five assists. The duo was a driving force behind Streetsville’s offensive outburst.

Duncan Grube (Alliston Hornets) – 3 Goals

Alliston forward Duncan Grube extended his goal streak to five games with a hat trick against the Innisfil Spartans. Grube found the net at key moments in the second and third periods, helping the Hornets pull away. His three-goal performance brings his season total to 24, leading Alliston’s high-powered offense.

Kobe Nadalin (Woodstock Navy Vets) – 34-Save Shutout

Following his goaltending partner’s standout performance last week, rookie netminder Kobe Nadalin delivered a 34-save shutout in a 4–0 win over the New Hamburg Firebirds. Nadalin currently leads the PJHL in save percentage at .945, a mark he will look to maintain as Woodstock pushes for first place in the Doherty Division.

Alex Csizmadia (Niagara RiverHawks) – 34-Save Shutout

In a weekend full of phenomenal goaltending performances, Alex Csizmadia put his name firmly in the conversation with a 34-save shutout over the first-place Dundas Blues. Dundas entered the matchup as one of the league’s most explosive offenses, ranking second in PJHL goals scored, but Csizmadia shut the door entirely. The performance marked his first career PJHL shutout.

Ryerson Minifie (Port Hope Panthers) – 5 Goals

After entering Saturday’s matchup with just five goals on the season, Ryerson Minifie doubled his total in a memorable five-goal performance against the Trent Hills Thunder. Minifie wasted no time, opening the scoring just 13 seconds into the game, and continued to pour it on throughout the night. It marked his first multi-goal performance in the PJHL.

Ethan Davis (Wheatley Omstead Sharks) – 39-Save Shutout

The Sharks continued to stack wins late in the season, thanks in large part to goaltender Ethan Davis’ strong play. Davis stopped all 39 shots he faced in a shutout victory over the Amherstburg Admirals. He has now won five of his last seven starts and carries a .937 save percentage during that stretch.

Logan Griffiths (Mt. Brydges Bulldogs) – 51 Saves (51/52)

The Mt. Brydges Bulldogs needed every one of Logan Griffiths’ 51 saves in a 2–1 overtime win against the Exeter Hawks. Griffiths was instrumental in securing a perfect 2–0 weekend for the Bulldogs, posting a .971 save percentage across the two victories.

Tyler Ewald (Fergus Whalers) – 3 Goals
Andrew McClure (Fergus Whalers) – 1 Goal, 3 Assists

The Fergus Whalers erupted for nine goals in a win over the Mitchell Hawks, led by Tyler Ewald and Andrew McClure. Ewald recorded his first hat trick of the season, scoring all three goals in the third period. McClure complemented the effort with a goal and three assists in the high-scoring affair.

Antonio Cerqua (Georgina Ice) – 3 Goals, 2 Assists

Antonio Cerqua delivered a breakout performance in Georgina’s 9–2 win, recording three goals and two assists. After going his first 15 games without a goal while tallying 20 assists, Cerqua broke through in a big way. He now sits at 25 points in 16 games.

Davin Gray (Thamesford Trojans) – 3 Goals, 1 Assist
Brett Busby (Thamesford Trojans) – 4 Assists

Max Zemp (Caledon Golden Hawks) – 43-Save Shutout

Caledon earned its third win of the season behind a standout performance from goaltender Max Zemp, who turned aside all 43 shots in a 3–0 victory over the Little Britain Merchants. The Golden Hawks were outshot 43–16, making every save crucial. The shutout marked Zemp’s first of the season and his first career PJHL shutout.
