Top Weekend Performances – January 16-18, 2026

CAMBRIDGE, ON – Individual excellence was on display across the PJHL this weekend, with players contributing in all facets of the game. Timely scoring, playmaking, and stellar goaltending defined several pivotal results.

Carter McKee (Amherstview Jets) – 1 goal, 3 assists

In a dominant 8–0 Amherstview victory over the Trent Hills Thunder, Carter McKee was a driving force, finishing with one goal and three assists. After a scoreless first period, the Jets erupted for six goals in the second, with McKee recording two assists. He added a goal and an assist in the third period to cap off a strong weekend in which he totaled six points.

Owen McCambridge (Dundas Blues) – 2 goals, 3 assists

Owen McCambridge delivered a phenomenal performance in the Dundas Blues’ 8–4 victory over the Derby team. McCambridge recorded two goals and three assists, highlighted by a four-goal second period in which he contributed one goal and two assists as the Blues extended their lead to 7–2. McCambridge now has 30 points in 20 games this season.

Ethan Bolibruck (Grimsby Peach Kings) – 4 assists

Ethan Bolibruck posted his best performance of the season on Friday night, recording four assists in a big win over the Niagara RiverHawks. After the RiverHawks jumped out to a 2–0 lead, the Peach Kings responded with five consecutive goals, with Bolibruck playing a key role in the comeback victory.

Julian Gignac (Lakeshore Canadiens) 3 goals & Vaughn Trupee (Lakeshre Canadiens) 1 goal, 3 assists

The Lakeshore Canadiens saw multiple strong performances in their 9–4 victory, led by forwards Julian Gignac and Vaughn Trupee. Gignac recorded a hat trick, scoring all three goals shortly after the midway point of the second period in just his third game of the season. Trupee contributed a goal and three assists, factoring in on all three of Gignac’s goals.

Blake Builder (Mt. Brydges Bulldogs) – 2 goals, 2 assists

In a key West Yeck Division matchup against the Exeter Hawks, Blake Builder led the Mt. Brydges Bulldogs to a crucial 6–4 victory. Builder finished with two goals and two assists, including two late goals in the final period that extended the Bulldogs’ lead and sealed the win.

Derek Hartley (Hanover Barons) – 39-save shutout

Derek Hartley turned aside all 39 shots he faced to earn a shutout in the Hanover Barons’ 2–0 victory over the Walkerton Capitals. Hartley has been outstanding all season, leading the PJHL with 20 wins and helping the Barons extend their winning streak to 10 games.

Tyler Ewald (Fergus Whalers) 2 goals, 2 assists & Andrew McClure (Fergus Whalers) 1 goal, 3 assists

The Fergus Whalers’ top forwards delivered in a 9–2 win over Wingham. Captain Tyler Ewald continued his consistent play with two goals and two assists, while Andrew McClure capped off a six-point weekend by recording one goal and three assists.

Brad Wilson (Amherstview Jets) 3 goals & Dean Spry (Amherstview Jets) 44/45 saves

The Amherstview Jets received a pair of standout performances in their Saturday night win over the Frankford Huskies. Brad Wilson recorded his first hat trick of the season, including both a power-play and a shorthanded goal. In net, Dean Spry was exceptional, stopping 44 of 45 shots against his former team.

Raine Nadeau (Port Perry Lumberjacks) – 2 goals, 2 assists

Defenseman Raine Nadeau recorded a four-point performance to help lift the Port Perry Lumberjacks to another victory. Nadeau has been excellent offensively all season, now totaling 24 points, including 12 goals. His two goals came in the third period, turning a 3–2 deficit into a lead, before adding an assist on the late game-winning goal.

Tyler Bouck (Woodstock Navy Vets) – 44/45 saves

Tyler Bouck continued his strong play in net for the Woodstock Navy Vets, stopping 44 of 45 shots in a road victory over the New Hamburg Firebirds. In his fourth season with the team, Bouck has been a steady presence as the Navy Vets earned a statement win.
