Top Weekend Performances – January 2-4, 2026

CAMBRIDGE, ON – The first weekend of 2026 did not disappoint across the Provincial Junior Hockey League, as players rang in the new year with standout performances. From multi-goal outbursts to dominant goaltending efforts, this past weekend showcased elite skill and timely contributions in key games.

Cameron Graham (Dresden Kings) – 3 Goals

In an upset victory for the Dresden Kings over the Blenheim Blades, Kings captain Cameron Graham delivered the offensive punch, recording a hat trick in a 5–3 win. Graham opened the scoring with the first two goals of the game before completing the hat trick in the second period. His goal total now sits at 28 on the season, second-most in the PJHL.

Harrison Meulensteen (Exeter Hawks) – 4 Goals

Exeter Hawks forward Harrison Meulensteen continued his consistent scoring touch with a four-goal performance in a 5–2 win over the Aylmer Spitfires. The outing marked Meulensteen’s second four-goal game of the season, pushing his total to 26 goals.

Nick Lamont (Alliston Hornets) – 3 Goals, 2 Assists

Alliston Hornets captain Nick Lamont capped off a fantastic weekend with a five-point performance in a win over the Orillia Terriers. Lamont was dominant on the power play, scoring both Hornets power-play goals, adding an empty-net marker, and contributing two assists.

Alex McGillivray (Hanover Barons) – 3 Goals

Aaron Dukeshire (Hanover Barons) – 4 Assists

Hanover Barons forwards Alex McGillivray and Aaron Dukeshire combined for a dynamic offensive showing. McGillivray, one of the PJHL’s top scorers this season, recorded a hat trick to bring his goal total to 24. Dukeshire complemented the effort with four assists, including helpers on all three of McGillivray’s goals, marking his most productive game of the season.

Sam Litt (Muskoka Bears) – 1 Goal, 3 Assists

Sam Litt delivered a clutch performance for the Muskoka Bears, capping off a thrilling overtime win with the game-winning goal. Litt also assisted on the Bears’ other three goals, including two on the power play. Since joining Muskoka in early November, Litt has provided a significant offensive boost, tallying 27 points in just 15 games.

LJ Wilson (Aylmer Spitfires) – 55 Saves on 58 Shots

Despite being heavily outshot 58–33 by the Thamesford Trojans, Aylmer Spitfires goaltender LJ Wilson turned in one of his strongest performances of the season, stopping 55 shots. The Spitfires secured a 4–3 win thanks in large part to Wilson’s outstanding effort.

Dylan Leslie (Port Perry Lumberjacks) – 4 Goals

Johannes Kalm (Port Perry Lumberjacks) – 3 Goals

Port Perry Lumberjacks forwards Dylan Leslie and Johannes Kalm stole the spotlight in a 10–2 victory, combining for seven goals. Leslie followed up last weekend’s four-goal outing with another, raising his season total to 19 goals. Kalm added a hat trick of his own, the first of his three-year PJHL career.

Sami Najem-Douglas (Walkerton Capitals) – 3 Goals, 1 Assist

Walkerton Capitals defenseman Sami Najem-Douglas continued to make his presence felt, showcasing his unique scoring ability from the blue line. In a 5–4 overtime win over the Mount Forest Patriots, Najem-Douglas recorded a hat trick, including the overtime game-winner.

Connor Harmon (New Hamburg Firebirds) – 35-Save Shutout

Connor Harmon stood tall in goal Sunday afternoon as the New Hamburg Firebirds visited the Hespeler Shamrocks. Harmon stopped all 35 shots he faced, earning his first career PJHL shutout.
