Top Weekend Performances – March 6-8, 2026

CAMBRIDGE, ON – With the first round now complete, the Provincial Junior Hockey League playoffs have officially moved into the second round, and the intensity has only increased. Several teams opened their series with statement performances, highlighted by clutch scoring, dominant goaltending, and standout individual efforts. Here are some of the top performances from across the PJHL this past weekend.

Keaton Bartlett (Tavistock Braves) – 2 Goals, 2 Assists
Keegan Metcalf (Tavistock Braves) – 2 Goals, 2 Assists

The Tavistock Braves pulled off an epic comeback in Game 1, securing a 9–6 win over the Applejacks thanks to two standout performances. Keaton Bartlett has been a point-producing force from the Tavistock blue line to start the playoffs, continuing that trend with two goals and two assists, including the go-ahead goal early in the third period. Meanwhile, Keegan Metcalf led the charge in the Braves’ comeback, recording four points — all coming in the second half of the game — to help Tavistock secure the victory.

Nick Lamont (Alliston Hornets) – 2 Goals, 2 Assists

The Alliston Hornets took care of business in Game 1 against the Orillia Terriers, powered by a four-point performance from star forward Nick Lamont. Lamont wasted no time making an impact, scoring just 15 seconds into the game. He continued to contribute throughout the night, adding a late second-period goal and assisting on two power-play markers in the third period to help secure the win.

Cooper Reid (Mount Forest Patriots) – 3 Goals, 1 Assist

The Mount Forest Patriots are looking to play spoiler against the Hanover Barons, and with performances like Cooper Reid’s on Friday night, they appear to have a strong chance. After being held scoreless in the first-round series against Mitchell, Reid exploded in Game 1 with a clutch hat-trick performance, including two goals just 14 seconds apart late in the third period to give Mount Forest the lead and add insurance.

Mason Goodfellow (Napanee Raiders) – 3 Goals

Napanee Raiders forward Mason Goodfellow did everything he could in the Raiders’ 5–4 loss to the Frankford Huskies. Goodfellow recorded a hat trick, including two goals in the third period that helped build Napanee’s lead before the Huskies mounted a late comeback. The Raiders will look for Goodfellow’s scoring touch to continue as they try to upset Frankford.

Keegan Jackson (Dundas Blues) – 41 Save Shutout

Keegan Jackson may have delivered one of the best goaltending performances of the playoffs so far, backstopping the Dundas Blues to a Game 1 victory over the Glanbrook Rangers. Jackson, who was phenomenal in the first round with a .944 save percentage and four wins, carried that momentum into the second round, turning aside all 41 shots he faced to give Dundas a crucial opening win.

Nick Barker (Mount Forest Patriots) – 35 Save Shutout

In Game 2 of the Mount Forest–Hanover series, the Patriots continued their upset bid with help from goaltender Nick Barker’s 35-save shutout. In his first season with Mount Forest, Barker has been a steady presence in the crease, and his Game 2 performance may have been his best yet, stopping every shot he faced to help the Patriots take a 2–0 series lead.

Tucker Roberts (Uxbridge Bruins) – 3 Goals
Robby DiMaria (Uxbridge Bruins) – 25 Save Shutout

The Uxbridge Bruins remain undefeated in the playoffs following a dominant 7–0 Game 2 victory over the Lumberjacks. Forward Tucker Roberts led the offence with a hat trick, bringing his playoff total to eight goals in six games. Meanwhile, goaltender Robby DiMaria continued to be a stabilizing force in net, recording a 25-save shutout. DiMaria now has three shutouts in four playoff games.

Liam Eveleigh (Fergus Whalers) – 3 Goals
Joey Martin (Fergus Whalers) – 4 Assists

After receiving a first-round bye, the Fergus Whalers have not missed a beat, jumping out to a 2–0 series lead over the Kincardine Bulldogs. Defenseman Liam Eveleigh delivered a hat-trick performance in the win, while Joey Martin — the PJHL’s regular season scoring leader — added four assists. It’s been a strong start to the second round for two of Fergus’ biggest stars.

Boe Piroski (Lakeshore Canadiens) – 30 Save Shutout

In a tightly contested series between the Lakeshore Canadiens and the Blenheim Blades, goaltender Boe Piroski delivered a strong response in Game 2 with a 30-save shutout to help tie the series at 1–1. It was an excellent bounce-back performance from Piroski as Lakeshore now looks to take the series lead on Tuesday night.

Bryce McKee (Georgina Ice) – 3 Goals, 1 Assist
Carson McKenzie (Georgina Ice) – 1 Goal, 3 Assists

After dropping Game 1 to the Clarington Eagles, the Georgina Ice responded in emphatic fashion in Game 2, piling on seven goals — including five in the third period. Bryce McKee led the charge as Georgina trailed 3–2 entering the final frame. McKee opened the scoring in the third and continued the surge with a four-point night. Carson McKenzie added four points of his own, three of which came in the third period, as the Ice earned a crucial Game 2 win to even the series at 1–1.
