Three PJHL Athletes will receive $6,000 each for post-secondary education.

Three outstanding Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) Athletes were among eight Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) members to have been selected to receive bursaries from Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) in the amount of $6,000 each, to further their post-secondary education.
The bursary program is funded directly by MilkUP, DFO’s youth lifestyle brand, which recognizes young athletes who show leadership in building strong and healthy communities, demonstrate high academic achievement, are dedicated to and have a passion for hockey.
The PJHL, DFO and OHA are proud to award the 2024-2025 bursaries to:

The PJHL and OHA are proud to partner with DFO to present the Bursary Program, which recognizes OHA members for their outstanding commitment to community service, academics and athletics. Eight DFO Bursaries are awarded at $6,000 each during each hockey season. Since the 2021-2022 season, this program has contributed close to $200,000 in funds to OHA members.
About the Provincial Junior Hockey League
The Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) is a Junior C hockey league that was formed in 2016 when the eight Junior C leagues in the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) merged. The PJHL is the third tier of junior hockey within the OHA, and is sanctioned by the Ontario Hockey Federation and Hockey Canada. The PJHL is a destination league for athletes looking to continue competing in hockey at a high level while looking to pursue their education, work, and remaining close to their communities.
About the Ontario Hockey Association
The Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) was founded on November 27, 1890, and is the governing body for the majority of Junior and Senior hockey in the Province of Ontario. The OHA is a Member Partner of the Ontario Hockey Federation, which is one of thirteen Provincial and Regional Branches of Hockey Canada.
It is comprised of three Junior hockey leagues and two Senior hockey leagues: Junior A – Ontario Junior Hockey League; Junior B – Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League; Junior C – Provincial Junior Hockey League, Senior – Allan Cup Hockey (AAA) and Ontario Elite Hockey League (AA). For the 2024-25 season, these five leagues encompass 125 teams.
The objectives of the OHA are to foster and encourage the sport of amateur hockey, to conduct competition in the various categories established, to determine teams for entry into the inter-branch competitions that may be provided by Hockey Canada, and to provide for the affiliation of other hockey organizations.
The OHA provides administrative resources, coordinates programs, services and events for hockey participants and provides support to various Development Programs for coaches, officials, trainers and players, safety and risk management issues and offers resources for Harassment and Abuse education.
