Shaughnessy and Krupa Named Eastern Conference Players Of The Month For February

The PJHL are pleased to announce that Clayton Shaughnessy of the Lakefield Chiefs and Cameron Krupa of the Napanee Raiders have been named the February Eastern Conference Players of the Month.

Orr Division – Clayton Shaughnessy of the Lakefield Chiefs helped bring his team roaring into the playoffs, running on a 6-game point streak to the end of the season. The Chiefs captain picked up 9 goals and 9 assists in 9 games throughout the month of February. Most impressively, Shaughnessy had an impressive 5-goal game on February 18th against the Uxbridge Bruins. Shaughnessy picked up atleast 4-points on three separate occasions throughout the month. Clayton Shaughnessy finished the season with 31 goals and 31 assists for 62 points.

Tod Division – Cameron Krupa of the Napanee Raiders picked up 14 points in the final 7 games of the season. With 10 goals and 4 assists in that stretch, the London Ontario native reached the 50-point mark for the second time in his career, eclipsing 100 points in the PJHL on February 17th against the Port Hope Panthers. The Raider forward finished the season 27 goals and 23 assists for 50 points, and hit a new career high in points in a single game with 5 on February 18th against Campbellford.
